Something Wicked

“Porter” is a 1997 16.2h chestnut Thoroughbred gelding that Michelle got off the track while in Colorado. When Porter arrived, he was grossly underweight and on the verge of bleeding out internally due to gastric ulcers. He spent several weeks at Littleton Large Animal Clinic and made a complete recovery. Porter has since then competed successfully up to the Preliminary level and is now semi-retired and teaching lessons.

Christmas Bash

“Maggie” is a 2004 16.2h chestnut mare. Maggie is a gorgeous, sweet, kind mare that was found at New Holland and purchased by a very generous woman who contacted Michelle about Maggie.  Dustin and Michelle hooked up the trailer and drove to New Holland auction the next Monday, picked Maggie up and brought her to WestWind Farms. Maggie arrived with her halter so tight it permanently did damage to her poll, dehydrated, and underweight but soon was fat and shiny. It was then discovered that Maggie had a condylar fracture that was plated, and had 6 screws in her ankle.  Unfortunately she is only sound enough to be a broodmare but she is pasture sound and very happy living in the big fields with Moc and Donut.
